About Emily
Emily – Director & Occupational Therapist
Growing up in country Victoria, Emily has always had a strong passion for supporting children, young people, and their families. She brings a warm, genuine, and down-to-earth approach to her work, with a focus on creating supportive environments where children, adolescents, and young adults can feel understood, confident, and able to thrive.
Emily believes the best outcomes happen when therapy is not something a young person does on their own, but something that the people around them are part of too. She works closely with families, carers, educators, and other professionals to make therapy practical, meaningful, and relevant to everyday life.
Emily completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Australian Catholic University and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is also a member of Occupational Therapy Australia.
Before starting Gathered, Emily worked across both regional and metropolitan settings, gaining experience in schools, community programs, and private practice. She has supported children, adolescents, and young adults with a wide range of developmental, physical, and neurodivergent needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, and social-emotional challenges.
Emily started Gathered with a simple vision: to create a space where every young person feels supported, understood, and encouraged to be themselves. She believes in working alongside each young person and the people around them to build confidence, develop skills, and help them get involved in the things that matter most to them.
